Trussardi, is the epitome of luxury, and founded in Italy in 1911, it is as impeccable and as polished as it was then.
Craftsmanship rooted in age-old traditions, the brand offers a range of impeccably cut tailoring, polished separates and fine leather goods. Gaia Trussardi the creative director of luxury company Trussardi Group, began her role as creative director in March, after the group and Umit Benan Sahin ended their two-year collaboration.
She is the great granddaughter of the brand’s eponymous founder Dante Trussardi and is now overseeing all creative directions for the fashion house from advertising campaigns to design. The move reflects the firm’s “desire to strengthen the continuous evolution of the brand”. The Trussardi SS14 collection, draws us towards New Mexico and Arizona with a showing of cooler colors, loose-fitting linen fabrics in stone colours, paler, sandy shades to inky blues and burnt reds.
The Trussardi man undertakes the journey from the city streets to the desert for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection always carrying luxurious accessories. “The color palette is reminiscent of the desert starting from the really early morning and light blue sky to the evening, which includes terracotta and dark blue,” says Gaia Trussardi.
Leather, the signature material of Trussardi, used for raw-cut jackets, duster coats, long hooded and collared trench coats were a main protagonist of the collection, while Bermuda leather shorts, K-way jackets, slim-fit five-pocket jeans, boxy tops, jogging pants and aviator jackets paid homage to an adventurous man on the run. Leather is once again the absolute star of the entire men’s collection
